- Pets are NOT accepted in the cabin.
- The only exception is trained service (assistance) dogs for passengers with a disability/reduced mobility; they travel free in the cabin when harnessed/leashed.
- On flights within Europe the assistance dog must be trained by an organisation accredited by the IGDF or ADI and carry an Assistance Dog Identification Card.
- Emotional support animals (ESA) and service animals in training are NOT accepted.
- Submit a special assistance request at least 48 hours in advance.

- Cats and dogs (plus rabbits on flights within Europe) travel ONLY in the hold (climate-controlled like the cabin) and must be booked exclusively through an IAG Cargo pet agent — a pet brought to an Aer Lingus check-in desk will NOT be accepted.
- Maximum weight of the pet plus crate is 64 kg.
- Minimum age ~15 weeks (Ireland is a rabies-controlled country).
- The crate must conform to IATA (LAR) regulations.
- Book at least 48 hours before departure.
- So a pet cannot travel as the passenger's baggage: it is booked only as a separate IAG Cargo service.
- Minimum age 15 weeks.
- No live animals on A321neo LR aircraft (unventilated hold); no pets on Aer Lingus Regional (Emerald Airlines) flights.
