Ordinary pets are never accepted in the cabin; the help article 'Can I book a flight to travel with my pet?' (updated 24 June 2025) confirms: 'Our flying with pets service is currently unavailable, but don't worry, we'll let you know as soon as it's back'.

- At the same time, the official 'Pet conditions of carriage' document (help.virginatlantic.com/content/dam/HelpCentre/documents/pet-conditions-of-carriage.pdf, Version 1 - 2019, branded 'Virgin Atlantic Cargo'/Virgin Australia) is still hosted and openable, detailing the terms of the last active program: minimum crate size 71x52x54 cm (external), minimum pet age 15 weeks, point-to-point carriage only (except London Heathrow-Melbourne via a technical comfort stop in Los Angeles), no collars/clothing allowed, right to refuse due to weather at origin or destination.
- No numeric weight limit is given, only a minimum crate size.
