Snub-nosed breeds are not accepted in the hold. Direct flights reach 18 countries, but flying there and taking a pet are different questions: the destination country has its own entry rules.

The carrier publishes no outright breed ban: the whole list applies to the BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT, and the cabin stays open to the same breeds — 'Brachycephalic or “short-nosed” dogs and cats may still travel in the cabin with their passenger, provided their pet carrier fits under the seat'. The hold refuses short-nosed dogs and cats as a class, and separately by name: American Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Terrier, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Mastiff (all breeds), Bulldog, Bull Terrier, Chow Chow, Dutch Pug, English Bulldog, English Toy Spaniel, French Bulldog, Japanese Mastiff (Tosa Inu), Japanese Pug, Japanese Spaniel (Chin), Pekingese, Pug, Shih Tzu, Staffordshire Bull Terrier; cats — Burmese, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayan, Persian. Mixed breeds thereof are covered too. The carrier's own exception: these animals are accepted in the hold on flights within the State of Hawaii and between Hawaii and the U.S. Mainland, with no connection beyond the first arrival city once on the Mainland. That cannot be expressed in a field — Hawaii is a state, not a country — so on Hawaiian legs our answer is stricter than the carrier's.
If temperatures at the origin, destination, or connecting airports exceed certain limits, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines may decline acceptance for the animal's welfare (exact threshold not published, checked via Airport Advisories).
