Some countries take no animals at all: United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. Snub-nosed breeds are not accepted in the hold. Direct flights reach 10 countries, but flying there and taking a pet are different questions: the destination country has its own entry rules.

Brachycephalic breeds are not accepted in the hold, cabin only. The named list is extensive (pug, bulldogs, mastiffs, Shar Pei, Shih Tzu, Persian, etc.). Separately, Cyprus and Israel prohibit import of certain fighting-type breeds — this is a country entry requirement, not a carrier refusal.
