Two ban lists apply to checked-baggage transport: dangerous breeds (large/medium terriers, all boxers, spaniel-type, mastiff-type, pit bull, Tosa Inu, Fila Brasileiro, Dogo Argentino, Malinois) and brachycephalic breeds (bulldogs, pug, Cavalier King Charles, Shih Tzu, bull terriers, American Bully, Boston Terrier, Brussels Griffon, Affenpinscher, Lhasa Apso, Pekingese, Chow Chow, Japanese Chin, Shar Pei, plus Burmese/Himalayan/Persian/Exotic Shorthair cats), plus Samoyed separately for heat/altitude intolerance. Small and toy terriers are exempt.
The pet will not be accepted in the hold if the temperature forecast for the day the request is filed falls outside the range from -12°C (inclusive) to +30°C (inclusive) at any point of the route (departure / connection / arrival), according to the China Meteorological Administration (cma.gov.cn).
