TUI Airways carries dogs and cats in the hold. The pet's place is booked in advance — at least 48 h before departure.

Snub-nosed breeds are not accepted in the cabin. Direct flights reach 23 countries, but flying there and taking a pet are different questions: the destination country has its own entry rules.

The official tui.co.uk page ("Can I take my pet with me?") states plainly that all pets flying with TUI travel in the hold as cargo, not in the passenger cabin — this applies to flights both to and from the UK. Independently confirmed by BringFido: "TUI Airways doesn't allow pets to travel in the cabin." Exception: recognised assistance dogs, which travel in the cabin free of charge (or "for a nominal charge" per Conditions of Carriage art. 8.8 — a discrepancy between the FAQ and the CoC), but that is a separate accessibility category, not an ordinary passenger pet, so cabin.allowed for pets = false.

The official site publishes neither a weight limit nor a fixed price — only "a handling fee will be applied at the current rate" (CoC art. 8.8); you must contact the cargo department directly for a specific flight.
The hold is pressurised and kept at the same temperature as the passenger cabin.
Requirements: container fitted with a water bowl and external water-refill access; do not feed the pet for 6 hours before departure and walk it before check-in at cargo; medical sedation is prohibited (herbal calmers/sprays allowed).
Flights to Europe require either a valid EU pet passport or a veterinary health certificate; outside Europe, an export health certificate and import permit are typically needed.
TUI explicitly warns that restrictions apply in certain countries, without publishing the list — check with the Cargo Department per flight.
