The rabies vaccination must be given within the 12 months before entry, and the pet must arrive at least 30 days before the vaccination's first anniversary — that is, no later than 11 months after it.

Tests and treatments

Rabies antibody titre testdepends on origin+

Rabies antibody test: a result of at least 0.5 IU/ml from an accredited laboratory. The result goes into the veterinary certificate together with the vaccination details. Blood is usually drawn no earlier than 30 days after the vaccination — check with the laboratory.
