Iberia carries dogs and cats in the cabin up to 8 kg and in the hold up to 45 kg. The service is paid: 40 EUR per flight. The pet's place is booked in advance — at least 48 h before departure.
Snub-nosed breeds are not accepted in the hold. A separate breed ban applies to 9 breeds. Direct flights reach 48 countries, but flying there and taking a pet are different questions: the destination country has its own entry rules.

FULL BAN — nine breeds classified as dangerous: Iberia does not accept them in the cabin or in the hold. These are the Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Doberman, Argentine Dogo, Brazilian Mastiff, Tosa and Akita. For other breeds the carrier notes that acceptance depends on the dog's build, muscle, height and weight.
HOLD CLOSED, CABIN OPEN — a separate and wider list: the carrier will not take breeds more susceptible to heat and stress in the hold, but states explicitly that they may travel in the cabin if they meet the cabin conditions. Dogs: Affenpinscher, Boston Terrier, Boxer (all breeds), Brussels Griffon, Bulldog (all breeds), Bull Mastiff, Canary Prey dog, Cane corso, Cavalier Spaniel, Chihuahua, Chow Chow, Dogue de Bordeaux, English Toy Spaniel, Japanese Chin, Japanese Spaniel, King Charles Spaniel, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Mastiff, Miniature Pinscher, Pekingese, Pit Bull, Pug, Saint Bernard, Shar Pei, Shih Tzu, Tibetan Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier. Cats: Burmese, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayan, Persian. Note that the list is wider than snub-nosed breeds — it includes the Chihuahua, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier and Miniature Pinscher.
