Singapore sets its own requirements for bringing in dogs and cats. From any departure country your pet needs microchip, rabies vaccination, parasite treatment, import permit, veterinary health certificate and additional vaccination. What is needed on top — rabies antibody titre test — depends on the country you fly from. The rules are the same for dogs and cats.

There is no quarantine if the rule's conditions are met — otherwise the pet is held. Pets may not enter through just any airport: there is only one designated point. Submit the border inspection request for the pet (CAPQ station, Changi Airport) at least 5 days before arrival. You can do it yourself or via an AVS-recognised pet agent (list at avs.nparks.gov.sg).

For pets from Russia (and most other countries) — mandatory quarantine of at least 30 days at the government AQC centre; book a place in advance. Only pets from a few lowest-rabies-risk countries (Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland) are exempt.

This breed is IMPORTABLE (not banned) but is a 'controlled' breed requiring an enhanced licence. Conditions: leashed and muzzled in public, sterilised if over 6 months, insurance and a banker's guarantee. Housing: not allowed in an HDB flat; max 1 in a landed property. Fine for non-compliance up to S$5,000.
