The Central Asia Aviation Holdings consortium (Vietnam's Sovico Group + Kazasia Holdings) bought 51% of Qazaq Air in late 2024, privatization completed in December 2025, and the company now operates under a NEW commercial brand 'Vietjet Qazaqstan' while keeping the legal entity 'QAZAQ AIR JSC' — stated directly in the official site's footer: '© 2025.

Routes per data/reference/routes_graph.json (ALA-NQZ, NQZ-AKX, NQZ-BSZ and others — entirely domestic Kazakhstan network) match Qazaq Air's historical regional Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 network, still current post-rebrand (a new Boeing 737 fleet from VietJetAir has been announced, but at time of check the site still describes regional KZT-priced domestic fares).

Verbatim: 'Adult passengers of VIETJET QAZAQSTAN are allowed to carry small dogs, cats and birds on board... A maximum of 2 pets are allowed on board.' Two cabin fare options: (1) under the seat — up to 5 kg with cage, cage max 29x43x26 cm, 12000 KZT/30 EUR direct flight, 17000 KZT/40 EUR transit (both entered — domestic in KZT and international in EUR); (2) adjacent seat — up to 8 kg with a carrying bag, max 50x35x30 cm, 15000 KZT/30 EUR direct, 23000 KZT/46 EUR transit — this is a separate paid option (a second seat), not the base cabin limit, kept in fees with a label rather than in max_total_weight_kg/carrier_max_cm (which reflect the base 'under the seat' option).
The option must be chosen when booking on the website or via the call center — no specific hour figure is given, advance_notice_hours left at 48.
