Wait 35 days from the date of the primary rabies vaccination or the booster before the dog or cat may enter Barbados.
Important about boosters: a booster counts only if it was given ON OR BEFORE the day the previous vaccination expired. Miss that date by even a day and the shot counts as a primary vaccination, with all of its waiting periods, rather than a continuation of the previous one.
Dogs over 6 months old must be tested for heartworm disease within 30 days prior to leaving the U.S. Cats are exempt.
An Import Permit must first be obtained from the Veterinary Services Department ... Permits are valid for six (6) months from the date of issue.
Within seven (7) days of travel, the pets must undergo a veterinary examination and be issued with an Official Veterinary Export Health Certificate, which is valid for a period of 10 days
The order matters more than the list: a step done too early has to be repeated. The intervals come from the same rule fields the engine uses for the earliest departure date.
