Malaysia sets its own requirements for bringing in dogs and cats. From any departure country your pet needs microchip, import permit, rabies vaccination, veterinary health certificate and additional vaccination. The rules are the same for dogs and cats.
Quarantine on arrival is mandatory — 7 days; documents do not waive it. Order matters more than the list: the microchip goes in before the rabies vaccination, or the vaccination does not count. 24 carriers in our directory fly direct to Malaysia, and their pet conditions differ.

Import must be accompanied by a valid import permit issued by the Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS), with prior DVS approval (E-Permit, valid 30 days).

The order matters more than the list: a step done too early has to be repeated. The intervals come from the same rule fields the engine uses for the earliest departure date.
